Any Home Bakers Here?

Wow, that is quite heavy! We have some here in Germany, but they look small compared to farm raised geese ( I know, there are lots of breeds) the German families have shrunk, so they no longer want large geese 🙄 I sometimes have trouble getting a large enough goose for Christmas, since the other families don’t want the larger ones anymore 😬

While I was at the rehabilitation clinic, it was close a several lakes, there were lots of geese on them, but as you can see, the Canada geese look kind of small… there were also some wild grey geese ( not on the photo )which were larger than the Canada geese, friends of mine tasted the wild version and said they didn’t taste good 🤔 but they caught them on their own lawn, and the lake there isn’t that clean, cos there is lots of boat traffic, so maybe that’s why they didn’t taste good?!

I forgot to show you this.

Guess who’s got bronchitis.

As a result, I won’t be able to do much baking right now. I also won’t be able to work on my car for a little bit.
Oh maaan! Sorry to hear, Jared. Be good and take care of yourself. Go to bed and READ. Teach yourself a new skill. I know, you've learned so many already! Cooking, baking, hunting, making cheese, making syrup, photographing stars and planets, what's left? Taxidermy? Crocheting? Beadwork? Leathercraft? There must be something you don't know how to do yet!

Taxidermy is a stretch. I have tanned a hide from a skunk I shot once, in fact, it was the same skunk that sprayed me a long time ago.

I also know how to knit scarfs.

I’m not sure what to try right now. I feel sick enough that I can’t even think about it.

Maybe tomorrow morning will yield some ideas.

YES...that is a good price. I HAVE ALL EXCEPT THE BANNETON BASKET. And
I like the LARGE ANTIQUE BAKING TINS I have the best for my proofing and baking. Thanks for sharing. I got the Nice Linen bread bags from Amazon. Love
them. I make two large loaves for family, store the bread in them and I have one
linen bread bag I ALWAYS store my loaf in. Neat.
