Anybody got a good rhubarb recipe? I've just picked a heap out of the garden and you can only eat so much over ice cream. I made a rhubarb loaf a while back but don't seem to have saved the recipe darn it.

I never tasted rhubarb, what would you compare it to for a novice? Thought it would it be like a rutabaga ?

It is sour and the texture is much softer than a rutabaga.

Will have to google rutabaga but I can't think of anything quite like it. It's sour but sweet because of the added sugar and falls apart into strings when cooked.

I found a rhubarb slice on Pinterest which has just come out of the oven. It smells like scrambled eggs so hopefully it tastes better. Lol

The bread just came out of the oven as well but there was enough to make rolls as well and the whole lot got polished off for lunch. They were a bit doughy but then they were so hot you couldn't hold to cut either so that probably added to that. The flavor was very nice though so think it's worthy of a second try following the recipe properly :)

My mom used to make strawberry/rhubarb jelly. It was delicious! How about a rhubarb crisp?
