I just remembered something.Any tips from you all on getting the most out of this thing? Best recipes?
That is why I no longer use a machine, I always had to mix the dough by hand, or 1/3 of the flour mixture wouldn’t be incorporatedI just remembered something.
When I make bread in the machine, I do this: About 5 minutes after it starts, I use a scraper to get all the flour and "starting to form" dough out of the corners and off the sides of the pan, so it will mix in with the dough.
The first time I used this particular machine, there was some unmixed stuff on the corner of the loaf when it was done.
Hmm interesting to know this might be needed. I don't mind a little TLC to produce some tasty bread, but hopefully I don't end up with anything half-baked!I just remembered something.

Wow. I never have had that problem with a machine in good working order. I had TWO Cuisinart bread makers that stripped out the mixing paddle, giving me a half mixed, baked mess. I have an old (used) Breadman, and a new Hamilton Beach. Both work well. But flour does collect in the corners, so I scrape them out after the first 5 or so minutes of mix time. That is why I no longer use a machine, I always had to mix the dough by hand, or 1/3 of the flour mixture wouldn’t be incorporated
