The storm glass and the weather app are in sync. Looks like a big storm is heading this way.

We have had Tornados....NEAR....Canandagua Lake and Rome.
Rome about 17 miles from here. S C A R Y.

Back in the 70s I lived in Tornado Alley in Paducah, Kentucky.

It was really scary.

I'd rather live with the hurricanes instead of the tornados.

We had a TORNADO hit in Rome, New York. Terrible damage.
The Govenor from New York visited the area. We have horrible weather. Dark, Gloomy, Windy. Rain. SCARY.
That sounds terrible!

It's a beautiful sunny day today down south. Temp is 90, with the heat index, it feels like 101. (We live in a sauna!) I can't remember when was the last time we went 2 full days without rain. My girls may get lost in the grass before the yard dries out! That being said, they seem to be enjoying the foraging quite a bit and I think they actually like the taller grass. My 1 white leghorn (purchased from Tractor Supply as Barred Rock) may never be WHITE again! Dust baths are not quite so dusty when the ground is always wet. My girls like to spend the heat of the day hanging out under their favorite shrub, watching to see if anyone wants to venture out with a motivating snack.

Honestly, we are doing less cooking because it's HOT. I have limited experience with a Dutch oven, but have made a couple of cobblers using campfire coals with my Girl Scouts.
