This part of Michigan can get tornadoes. We don't get hurricanes, but we can get straight line winds. We have had earthquakes, but You'd have to tell people that they were happening, they are that minor.

We can, however, get freezing rain

And Fires! I guess fires are pretty much everywhere though.

Indeed, we had a lightning strike caused prairie fire two days ago. Fortunately the rain put it out.

Woodland is in the middle of the Sacramento Valley so it is mostly flat with grass and farm land. Our biggest problem from fires is the smoke! We have had to wear n95 masks when the smoke gets bad.

So far this year it is not too bad.

We will be at 105F today so I need to get the weekly shopping finishes soon!

It is Baking Day for me once a week: trying to get the Loaves
to be well rounded and not so "wrinkled" on tops. Butter on the
loaves now NO. Scoring loaves NO. Do you think this is the way?

I braved the heat and stress on the AC by baking a pizza yesterday!

It was 107F at that time.....The pizza was very tasty!
