I have surprised many people with that. I learned it in middle school, made it for my cocky husband (he insisted he had tried every egg dish there is), taught it to the children, and now my housemate is over joyed when I make it with sourdough bread. I taught her daughter to cook, and she now makes it for her grandparents.
It has a lot of different names. What is your favorite? Mine is eggs in a frame.

I just call it "egg in a hole" thats how I found it. I like trying it with english muffins, bell pepers and whole wheat bread. Something thats on my bucket list is to make egg in a bagle hole.
