You got me looking at getting a key lime tree - how old or large does one have to be to start fruiting?

My guess is one about 2-3 years or 3-4 feet tall?
I was looking at getting a lemon tree the other day. The assistant at the nursery told me that grafted trees fruit from the "get-go" (but I expect you wouldn't get decent-sized fruit for a while). It may be the same with limes, assuming they are grafted.

Mine haven't started yet and is almost 2' tall. One of my egg customers who has been giving me some Key Limes has some trees and next time I see her I'll ask how big hers is. They went to Tenn. for the holidays so it will be awhile before I see her.
