I'm gonna have to wait till I fire up the wood stove before I can make a starter. Should have made one weeks ago when I had the temps for it.

We were without power for a week after Hurricane Irma. I have had some fence repair work and cleaned out all of the coops. Irma actually pushed some of my fencing over a bit so I had to straighten it out. The birds were safe in their pens, the coops held up well. Getting the gardens ready to plant. Actually we should have already started planting. I think this year we will buy some plants instead of starting everything by seed as we usually do. We do have to some repair work to do on some of the coops, but it's from old age not the storm. Recently sold close to 100 young males. I have some in my freezer but don't need any more. In a couple of week I'm selling the rest of the young males except the ones I keep for breeding (around 30/40 left to sell). I have to convert the coops back to breeding coops (now bachelor and grow-out). Soon it will be time to fill the incubator. Have been doing some baking now that the temperature is under 90. It's still above average here. Always making bread. That's what's happening in my part of the world.
