Never heard of 3 rises, so had to surf ....there are a lot of recipes out there that call for 3 rises.
But this is a quote off KA Bread's discussions:
Martha Rose Shulman, in her book Great Breads, suggests that if you have the time, it's always good to give the dough an extra rise in the bowl. I always do, even with my sourdough, as it seems to give the bread an extra lift, letting it rise higher than it would without that extra rise in the bowl.
Does anyone triple rise their bread? This last loaf that I stuffed up then fixed ended up with an extra rise in the middle because of my adding the extra water half way. It's got a really nice soft texture to it and I'm wondering if that's extra rise that did the trick.
When you make the overnight rolls, it goes into the fridge overnight after rising in the pan. In the morning it goes into the oven and a pan of hot water goes under it. The rolls rise there so that would be a third rise.
And then...wait for it...The heat of the oven causes another rise! It is called the oven rise.

When my Daughters were little, they went into a Gerry carrier on my back! They loved watching me cook and I got a lot of exercise. I mowed the lawn that way too.
By the way, they are all three very good cooks too.
Thanks!

Crock pot and casseroles will be your best friends!
Most crock pot recipes can be set up in the crock, refrigerated and then popped back into the cooker. Most casseroles can be refrigerated and then cooked in the oven. This is an example:
Grown up Macaroni and Cheese
½ C Bread Crumbs
1 tsp thyme, sage or rosemary
2 Tbl Flour
2 Tbl cold butter
1 ½ C uncooked macaroni(shells)
1 ¼ C milk
2 Tbl grated parmesan
2 Tbl Butter
¼ C dry mustard
1 ½ C grated cheese
2 slices cooked bacon
¼ C caramelized onions
Salt and pepper to taste
Grease a loaf pan or 8x8 pan. Mix Bread crumbs, cold butter, parmesan and herbs together with a fork or your fingers until you have a crumbly topping
Cook macaroni according to package instructions.
In a heavy saucepan, melt the butter. Add the flour, mixing well and cook over low heat for one minute.
Pour in the milk in a thin steady stream, stirring the whole time and mix carefully to get any lumps out.
Cook over low heat until slightly thickened, stirring occasionally. Be gentle—do not whisk or beat. When it coats the back of a spoon, stir in mustard and salt and pepper to taste.
Drain macaroni and return to pot. Add onions and bacon. Put grated cheese on top. Pour sauce over. Let stand 1 minute. Don’t touch it. Honest.
Stir very gently. Taste and adjust seasonings. Top with crumb mixture. Bake at 350 until bubbly and crumbs are golden, about 40 minutes.
May be made up to two days ahead and refrigerated, tightly covered. Add 15 minutes to the cooking time for refrigerated casseroles.

Lasagna can be made ahead too. So when the little ones will let you, put it together and refrigerate. Then pop it into the oven when it is time to bake it. They will keep a couple of days in the fridge too.
Lol i made todays at lunch abd had it in then fridge it makes so much lol. Lucy didnt eat any she, she alittle on the tired side she took a late nap and yeah never pretty but hey it was worth the hour of quite today.

Have you seen the jar lunches? I've started doing that for hubby. You can make up a whole weeks worth of chicken and salad with an egg at once in jars and he just grabs one each morning on his way out the door.
