I think you can make pumpkin soup from "normal" pumpkins, but it's nowhere near as nice as when it's made from butternuts.  We always use butternuts.

The spelt bread is very tasty! It has a mild wheat taste to it. The bread is my white bread recipe that is in the index on the first post, with freshly ground spelt( I ground 1 cup of berries--makes a couple of cups of flour) and raw sugar for the sweetener.

I don't make it, I get one called St Dalfour, which is very nice.

so here is the bread that i made. it is called Pan Sobao. it is a puerto rican bread that some say taste like challah bread because it is a sweet tasting bread. it is usually made into a laof, but i made them into flat buns sort of like pita bread.
