The cinnamon roll one came off Pinterest but I'm not sure I'd do it again. It really didn't rise much and was a bit heavy. Think I'll keep searching :)

The other one is just a regular bread roll but after you form the rolls you roll them in melted butter, garlic and herbs and then put it a tin to rise together. When it cooks you end up with a herb and garlic pull apart.

Thanks appps!

Well after a two week break I'm back in the kitchen today.

Herb pull apart and cinnamon scrolls.

I will have some of them with my coffee this morning...they look yummy!!

Found it! This is the recipe I was trying to find to make the cinnamon rolls this morning. I've made this one before and they turned out delicious. Might make another batch tomorrow!

I'm actually finding I prefer the kitchen maid to the bread machine. My bread machine takes 1:30 to get to the first proof and often its texture isn't quite right because you don't adjust as you are kneading. The dough hook on the other hand takes me about 6-8 minutes of kneading then about half an hour rising to get to the same place. If the dough is too wet or too dry I can easily adjust that. So even for proofing the bread maker is pretty slow, your probably better off just putting it in a warm spot.

Ok great thanks for the tips.

Haven't had a lot of time to bake lately, but a couple of days off and extra eggs.

So made a pound cake today and my first try at a blueberry sauce, gonna serve it with whipped cream..

That sounds yummy! Recipe?

Looks like I have only posted the Pound Cake Recipe here: https://www.backyardchickens.com/a/my-moms-pound-cake

I tried the "Easy Blueberry Sauce Recipe" from Taste of Home:

Ingredients:

1/4 cup sugar
1 teaspoon cornstarch
Dash salt
1/4 cup water
1 cup fresh or frozen blueberries
1-1/2 teaspoons of lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon grated lemon peel

Directions:

In a small saucepan, combine the sugar, cornstarch and salt. Gradually whisk in the water until smooth. Add the blueberries, lemon juice and lemon peel; bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly. Cook 2-3 minutes or longer or until thickened, stirring occasionally. Serve warm or chilled over ice cream, angel food cake or pound cake.

Changes I used:

I doubled the amount of blueberries, sugar and cornstarch but all else by the recipe. It turned out a little too sugary sweet - next time will just double the blueberries.
I used frozen blueberries - no need to thaw, just rinsed to get ice crystals off them. And chilled it in fridge before using.

Thanks, the blueberries I have were gifted to me and they are so sweet on their own. Next time will 1/2 the sugar back to the original recipe amount, add double or more blueberries, double the cornstarch and all the rest by the recipe. I guess the original was for store bought blueberries?

Seconds tonite were even better than the first run last nite.
