I have been away for a while and was catching up all the posts., exhausting but so interesting.

I was sure I read someone had a problem keeping pizza dough fresh, but for the life of me can't find the post.

Anyway tip for keeping pizza dough fresh:

You know those packets of 'stuff' that they put in medicine pills to keep them fresh - (actually I think its the government's way of getting rid of nuclear waste) but if you put those in with the dough in plastic bag it works.

I made biscotti but it was half chocolate biscotti and half original -think it was a recipe for Tiramisu pudding biscuits - now I know this is a disgusting habit but I like to dunk and the choccy bit sogged and disappeared. So think will just buy from now own.

Those packets contain silica gel, they absorb moisture.

So what you cooking for Christmas? bet it's good... Turkey? We haven't any in the shops yet so not sure ..... maybe a bit large but then thought what the hell, dogs, cats have Christmas too.. Definitely not pizza

We finally finished off the turkey from Thanksgiving, lol. Since it will just be DH & me, we're going to do a seafood dinner...I think crab cakes and some sort of shrimp. Our cats will probably go nutty with all the aromas but they better stay out of our dinner

DH & I have lived in cold wintery places in the past but this will be our first "real" winter in several years. Not sure what the weatherman is predicting for Christmas Day but it will probably involve snow and wind, lol.

I've been practicing with biscotti and found a recipe we like. It's pretty much gone now but will make up some more for taking to family on the 23rd.

Oreo bon bons

Cut out sugar cookies which I froze last night and will frost the end of the week. Some I'm bringing to my sisters for Christmas and the rest I'll give away to friends. I made about 240 bon bons! I did coconut too but they all look the same dipped in chocolate
