Any Home Bakers Here?

Have any of you master bakers ever made pretzels (the german kind, all soft inside)? I'm wondering whether they are difficult/involved. I went past a german bakery and forgot to go in (they had a pretzel on their sign) and now I'm craving pretzels.

Yup! Not too hard, but takes a while.
 
Kneading, and stuff? I wonder if I could do the dough in my breadmaking machine? I must dig out the instructions/recipes and see.
Never had a bread making machine. Are you able to pull the dough out before it bakes? If so, then I don't see why not.
