My uncle is living there right now. I guess my mom wants to fly out to visit him in a two years. We're hoping to get bills paid off enough to go too. Free room and board, can't beat it lol

I know I'm eons older and never saw anything like the carts with pigs, etc ...even in Georgia ....but we did have milk trucks ( gasoline models) that delivered bottled milk to our doors every morning .

My brother made homemade caramel rolls for New Year's day breakfast. He added a handful of fresh cranberries into the dough and they were delicious!

We used died cherries, raisins, and candied dates in ours.

I like the mix of fruit your DS used in the stollen. Glad it worked out well!

It's good but I think next time we'll use dried, sweetened cranberries instead of the cherries. We have a soft spot for them but the local store just didn't have them.

My wife is a big fan of baking. She bakes cakes and chocolate cookies mostly and I often take her bakeries in containers from here https://allinpackaging.co.uk/ to work. My colleagues commended homemade cookies too. Her fav recipe of cookies is easy:

1 cup butter, softened
1 1/2 cups white sugar
2 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 cups all-purpose flour
2/3 cup cocoa powder
3/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 cups semisweet chocolate chips

Beat butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla In large bowl. Then combine the flour, cocoa, baking soda, and salt; stir into the butter mixture until well blended. Mix in the chocolate chips and walnuts. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets.
Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven.
