Any Home Bakers Here?

Will do. Saw a video....it is Artisan NO Knead. Mix, let sit 3 hours
shape, put in a bowl, place the bowl in a Dutch Oven and bake.
Planning to make later today. It is another adventure...one I like.

Good luck with the new bread recipe Aria! I like to bake some of my breads in the Dutch Oven, gives things a nice bit of crunch on the outside, tender on the inside.

Great to be with you all! I am looking forward to using many of the recipes out on your thread!

I know most are posted on the first few page others just ask one of us is bound to have it @ronott1 will even send sourdough starter out

Currently I'm overwhelmed by Amish friendship bread starters in various stages. My grandsons came and spent as week with us and foolishly I gave each of them a 'share' with a friend bag had one of my own that was my portion. My daughter being the snot she is refused to relieve me of the 8 bags I now am squishing and feeding. What I am going to do with all of it hasn't come to me yet...had an idea to take it to church on Thursday for a funeral reception as a gift of sorts then realized that would be cruel..so now I am stuck again

Sourdough starter is different from friendship starter. Once it is up and bubbling, it stays in the fridge until ready for use. I only work with it when I make bread. It is super easy to keep going!

:drool I haven’t had friendship bread in years!
If I’m not mistaken, I have treated the starter like sourdough, and refrigerated as well as frozen it. It was so long ago, I cannot remember.
