The blue potatoes I had were boiling potatoes not frying potatoes. Not enough starch in them for frying

I would agree, although when I fry hashbrowns using white potatoes I soak out the starch. These were hard to tell when they were done.

The colored potatoes were good in soups and stews when I had them. We do not always have them in the stores here

Anybody ever tried blue potatoes? A friend gave me these and I fried them. I asked the guys if I should get more and it was a unanimous NO. They ate them which shocked me as they didn’t even look appetizing. The fish was yummy though...caught by my son.

My experience with blue potatoes is they cook quicker than other potatoes. If you close your eyes and cannot see the blue color, they taste just like any other good potato. The skins tasted a little bitter to me so I always peeled mine.

A friends wife grew these. I’ve never seen them in a store.

I've never tried the blue potatoes DMC. That fish looks good!

Blue potatoes were the THING around here a while ago. Some said
they were good for your health. But, they were not a lasting thing.
We did not try them. Aria

We have some organic places here and I think Costco had them once or twice.

The Davis Farmers market has them sometimes too
