DMC, here's the coconut frosting recipe. This makes up enough to cover the top side and in between 2 layers of cake. If you want to cover an entire 2-layer cake with it, you'll have to increase the ingredients.

Coconut Buttercream Frosting
1/2 Cup unsalted butter, softened
1/2 Cup vegetable shortening
1 tsp coconut or vanilla extract
3 Cups powdered sugar
2 Tablespoons (approximately) milk
3 1/2 oz. sweetened coconut flakes

* Beat butter & shortening until smooth
* Beat in extract
* Gradually beat in sugar until well blended (will look dry)
* Stir in enough milk to reach desired consistency
* Fold in coconut flakes

Note: If you like nuts, you can add 1/4 Cup chopped pecans.

Thanks Ron! The cake is that Hershey one you & I have both talked about in the past. And so is the chocolate frosting. Both recipes off the can of cocoa powder. To frost the sides only, a 1/2 recipe of the chocolate frosting is all you need.
I usually have a lot of frosting left over when I frost a cake.

It is a very tasty cake!

My new engraved roller that I purchased off Etsy! It's from Russia! It came with a recipe, but I made shortbread.
