Any Home Bakers Here?

 Once, huh?

The following is just chattering.
My husband told me he didn’t like oatmeal raisin cookies. Guess what his favorite cookie is now?
I have learned an important lesson as an adult. Just because I didn’t like it as a child or when I had it elsewhere, doesn’t mean I don’t like it when I make it.
Some people put carrots and peas and wayyyy too much breading in their meatloaf. I was not raised eating Eddie/MLA/Meat Loaf, so my first taste was a turnoff.
People's tastes change over time. No one could force me to eat liver when i was a kid. Now I love liver fried while smothered in onions.

Drugs (prescription) can greatly affect perceived tastes. Us old farts in particular with all our prescriptions can be greatly disappointed when a familiar flavor does not live up to our expectations.

BTW you won't find any carrots or peas in any meatloaf that I make. I will use tomato juice instead of milk or water.

YES. RIGHT ON. My husband dislikes many of the foods he liked a while ago. Not a good eater. Difficult to find things he really likes.
CANDY is always on his favorite list.

I was putting the bananas in when I thought about the peaches. Too bad my tree had an accident, and I only have canned peaches.
It makes a difference. She only used fresh tree ripened peaches in her ice cream.

It is my opinion that bananas, chocolate and ice cream all together makes an excellent combination.
