Any Home Bakers Here?

That is curious. Why cold water? I don't salt potatoes at all so I think I'll skip that part.
Starting with cold water allows the potato to cook evenly.

You do not add salt to mashed potatoes?

If you are not eating food with salt, you might want to supplement with iodine.

I love to cook and bake. Spring is coming and I am getting more eggs than I can sell. So.. here comes the angel food cake and custard from the yolks. 20200228_202811.jpg

Nice looking cake!

Thanks for joining us other bakers...looking forward to seeing what you use all the eggs for!

So, i'm intrested what other things you cooks and bakers do to use up extra eggs?
I have made french toast, deviled eggs and the angel food cake and custard in the last two weeks. I would make egg salad for sandwiches but i'm the only one in the house that eats it.
I know i will end up donating to my local food pantry like i do every spring with the extra's.

When I had chickens, I had the same problem. Too many eggs. What I did was I usually pickle the eggs for snacks, or we had a lot of recipes with eggs.

There was one time where I actually made an egg souffle. It turned out magnificent.
