anyone ever cure pork hocks? also has anyone made jowl bacon?

bought half a pig/side of pork from a butcher shop maybe 2 months ago.

got the jowl and pork hocks am hoping to cure and smoke (unless someone else has an idea for them) but never before have i cooked with jowl or the hocks lol.

You can freeze the hocks and use them in soup or pinto beans.

I made 2 loaves of sourdough sandwich bread using the KA recipe.

Those look great! I'm still not having luck getting my bread to rise near that high.

I can’t believe how much better it is with rotten bananas.

Well not ROTTEN but very ripe. I'd draw the line at moldy rotten bananas.

Just for clarification for everybody, here is a list of all the stressors I am currently experiencing.

Jared, any ONE of those creates an emotional struggle. All at the same time? Huge burden. But some of them will go away like the move this week. Next week that won't be a problem. And in a few months when you get to the long term home, another one gone. Hang in there!!
With everything shut down for the virus, jobs are scarce, but it WILL get better and you will find a job.

I've always loved cooking and experimenting in the kitchen. But now since we're on lockdown and made to stay home til this whole situation blows over, I have been baking more. I tried two different banana bread recipes, one with lots of sugar and one with less sugar and more bananas. Also, I made Brown Sugar Oatmeal cookies, loved them. I wanna try Cinnamon Rolls soon. If anyone has a good recipe, please send it my way!

Try KAF Whole Grain Pumpkin-Banana Bread. Really, really moist and delicious!

I will have to look at the 2000 pennies. Most of my extra pennies are 1957 and back.
