I have wasted valuable time messing with this thing today. Just because I am baffled how in the world this happened. This lid will not come out no matter what I try!

Now Debby, I thought you would have liked a challenge.

My recommendation would be to gently heat the bowl at the same time using an ice cube to cool the lid. Perhaps put an ice cube in a bag and tape it to the lid. Using straight liquid dish soap to lubricate the edges may also help.

Challenges are just another word for frustration

Nope, unless it was some sort of one-of-a-kind family heirloom passed down 15 generations that came over on a boat from the old country, I would toss it. I just don't have the patience.

Okay just out of curiosity I will stick it in the freezer. But I am not holding my breath if that's going to do anything. Lol

Nope just some garage sale junk I probably gave a nickel or dime for. I used it for a while to put a couple of different flavors of coffee creamer in. But it doesn't hold enough to be worth using.

That isn't likely to work. The object is to get the bottom hot so that it expands while at the same time keeping the lid cold so that it either stays the same size or contracts.

Take bacon grease or crisco coat the entire think may work Good Luck
