I made pnut butter cookies today, the oven isn’t working properly. I thought with the new heating element it would be all better but it doesn’t get as high a temp as it’s set to. Got to the store for rye flour so my starter has been started.
I hope you get the oven sorted out!

Sorry about the oven troubles. Good luck with your bread!

Hi everyone!

Good News, it looks like I found somebody who might be able to take me for fall bear in august-october. I will know for sure in 2 weeks.

Also, I'm doing a deer hunt this October.

Then, its duck and goose season.

If I'm successful, I'm going to have a LOT of meat. May need to buy a new freezer.
Congratulations on the potential hunting opportunities!
Have you been out morel hunting? My sister and her husband picked a 5 gallon pail full the other weekend (not sure when she posted the pictures).

You may need to consider taking up canning for some of that meat. Canned venison is so good!

@R2elk why is that funny? Does everyone in Wyoming eat bear?
There is a bearskin rug hanging on the wall in my basement.

The problem with bear is that the old rules for cooking pork still apply. The bear meat must be thoroughly cooked because they still can have the danger of trichinosis.

I didn't know that. Thanks for telling me. Is there an internal cooking temperature for bear?
