they're little chocolate cakes that I baked in a silicone hemisphere mold. The topping is melted chocolate beaten with some cream and stick margarine. they were very good, but also rich. I'll see if I can find the recipe again.
Yummi!

The problem with bear is that the old rules for cooking pork still apply. The bear meat must be thoroughly cooked because they still can have the danger of trichinosis.
Exactly what I was going to say. DW had a friend whose mother hit the medical books for surviving trichinosis. Yeah, from eating bear. Apparently she had remarked on the crunchy bits :sick

Does not look good to me.
Report on the Champlain Sourdough Bread: Delicious, hard crust,
very tasty, AND MY HUSBAND LIKES IT. That is an A+ . He does not like
or eat any of my other Breads.
So NOW does it look good to you? :D I don't know why you didn't think it looked good, it looks just like it is supposed to.
OK, time to preheat the oven and dutch oven.

I love the Smuckers Strawberry in the squeeze bottle.
I am NOT a strawberry jam fan, any cooked strawberry thing for that matter. I USED to be able to get Smucker's cherry preserves at most any store, then only at the family market. Now even they don't carry it 😢

It’s strawberry fruit spread. No chunks. Delicious!

OK, about this Champlain bread (which is in the oven on the first 20 minutes as I type).
Really sticky this time. I don't know if one is supposed to put the "loaf" in the dutch oven while still on the parchment paper but that is what I did this time because there is no way it would be anything but stuck to my hands if I tried to pick it up.

Also, in the instructions, I looked at this part again:
"Premix all ingredients at 9pm the night before baking bread. Cover bowl with plastic wrap. Replenish the starter and leave out over night."

and decided that last sentence means "leave the mixture out overnight" and "replenish the starter". I was trying to figure out why I would be instructed to leave the starter out overnight as part of the recipe.
