got a cake in oven now before the heat sets in. Plain yellow butter cake from doctored up cake mix---cheating a bit I know!
You just reminded me of this cake recipe I used to make fairly often. You put pistachio pudding mix in a yellow cake mix and another box of pudding mix in dream whip for the frosting. That was one of my favorite cakes ever! That and the strawberry cake mixes! Bake one up and serve chilled it’s way better than you’d think.

Well, I fixed the water leak. Here’s what happened:

We were moving out the fridge to lay down new flooring in the kitchen. While doing that, the valve connecting to the fridge broke CLEAN OFF. Copper tubing snapped in half. Water pouring all over the place.

We had to shut off the water to the whole house in order to stop the leak. That bad.

I got a cap, went under the house, and replaced the broken tubing with the cap. Leak is stopped, but the fridge won’t have water.

I should be a plumber.

I have never understood why branch water lines don't get their own shut off valves. Whenever I do any plumbing repairs in my house, I add in shut off valves. All of my sinks, toilets, tubs, hot water heater, etc. have their own shut off valves. If I had a water line to my refrigerator, it would also have its own shut off valve.

There's something to think about Jared...plumbers make good money!

Ours water inlet for the fridge has a shutoff valve. It sits inside a plastic alcove and it is very handy for swapping out water lines and etc. The house was built in 1995 so that must have been the standard back then in Yolo County

Work on it later-- Get a new valve setup
