Any Home Bakers Here?

My Mom would tell you that it depends on how sour the apples are.

Lemon juice will likely keep the apples from turning brown but I do not care about that!
I do prefer the color of the applesauce from the cooked apples.... We picked a few apples today...made applesauce...the apples were granny green skin...and the applesauce baked in oven were a beautiful pink. Pleasing color. Just apples...no lemon juice. Aria

I feel the same about onions in meat. I can do raw or sautéed, but don’t put onions in my hamburger meat. :sick
Around ‘84 two children were eating boxed raisins. Then worms began crawling out of their mouths. I rarely eat raw raisins anymore, and admit sometimes even baked is difficult.
My raisin bread recipe is for 1 cup of raisins. Floyd, says add more raisins. Next Raisin Bread Bake....2 cups of raisins. Aria
