That's exciting. looks like it is in pretty good shape.
I know nothing about coin collecting, what makes it a proof?

Wow, that's awesome! My dad is a coin collector, that would be very exciting.

A proof is a specially minted coin that is made for sealed sets, like for the bicentennial 1976. They’re usually only made by one minting place, in this case Sacramento. You can usually tell by the s mint mark and the mirror like appearance.

That's for sure! We got the rest picked up a couple days ago, so I think those will go to applesauce and chips.

This might be a silly question, but can you wash the apples in warm soapy water? We picked a bunch off of the ground and, of course, the chickens are around pooping all over the place. Anything visibly soiled was discarded. Maybe it's not worth it?

I would put them in warm mildly soapy wash then rinse like the dickens
