Wayne’s Never Fail Bread! Lately I’ve been using 2 Table spoons of Shortening. I also raise the yeast with sugar as stated but I use Honey for the rest of the sugar. I think the honey and extra shortening improves it. I always use Canadian AP FLOUR for the white bread. Sometimes I substitute 3 or 4 cups with whole wheat flour but add a little more water. I sometimes go by the feel of the dough to determine if I need a few more drops of water. All I do is wet my hands when I knead the dough. I guess you just learn how the dough should be by the feel of it. I live2 miles from the bay and humidity plays a big part of our baking.
Enjoy the recipe my relatives brag it up but that’s because they want free bread lol.
Thanks for posting recipe. Got a copy. Quite a recipe. Thanks again,
Aria

Goose is done!

That looks terrific! I’ve never tasted goose, I’d sure love to try a bite. In our grocery stores they sell them frozen and they’re around $75!
Sometimes it amazes me how lucky we are to have our own delicacies in our coops. I still have not had quail, but I have $$ popping and bopping around in a pen, and I definitely had duck when I was giving away extra drakes. Of course Jared had to hunt, but it’s still cheaper than a store or restaurant!

One 6 pound duck runs about $20 here. That’s why I choose to go hunting, Its a little bit cheaper.

Cheaper because you’re allowed a limit of seven ducks in one day and four Canada goose in one day. You can get as much as you need with only a hunting license, the appropriate endorsements, and ammunition.

however, you always have to follow the regulations. For example, you’re allowed to take up to seven ducks a day in my state. However, no more than two can be female mallards.

Thats just what I think, though. Not sure if it’s really cheaper or not.

On a side note, if you get a tag for something like a bear, and you get a bear, you get a lot of meat for a low price. My tag was around $15 I think. A lot of meat from $15!
