Any Home Bakers Here?

I made 2 batches of the rolls today for the first time in months (for some reason, I forget about them when the holiday season is over). The picture is of the batch I am keeping for us, and the other batch is going to a friend.

I am concerned about my Kitchen Aid mixer.... it seems like the head bumps around a lot while it is mixing.

My mixer did that for a while. (I ended up getting a new one, because the metal pin refused to go back in.) Check to make sure the metal pin that holds together the top and bottom is in the hole well. It's about a 3" cylinder. Good luck!

Hi guys! I'm a home baker, I have my own small business where I bake and sell things, and I'm so glad to find this thread!

Hi, it's always nice to have another baker around! If you haven't seen it yet, there's a link to our recipe index on page 1 of the thread. Looking forward to seeing some of your work!

Swiss, What beautiful rolls. Thanks for sharing. Aria

 Mine too.
I had a problem last year (and my Floyd was still with me) and sent away for a small part. After he contacted Kitchen Aid...they said they did not have the part. Sorry I cannot be of more help...but there is a
way to repair them. Go on line and do a search (not Kitchen Aid).
Good luck. Aria

The "at pressure" time is 8 minutes for my recipe. Plus the heat up and cool down times. I've made this recipe a few times now. I change it up and I think I like it better each time. I'm in "shop the pantry" mode for cooking these days. (I said I was "eating from the larder" and someone didn't know what I meant by that. I know that's an old saying, but she's a generation old than I.)

Regarding the sugar discussion... since I've been brewing kombucha, I only use organic cane sugar. I get a 10 pound bag at Costco for... can't remember, but way cheaper than the local grocery.
Thanks for the lentil in the pressure cooker information!

I love beans cooked in the instant pot.

That is a common and easily fixed problem. There are screws that need to be tightened. Look for a you tube video.
