Any Home Bakers Here?

Forgot to mention that I made mayonnaise yesterday. First time. Couldn't be easier if you have an immersion blender.
I have not made mayonnaise in a long time!

did you like it?

Strangely, it tastes like mayo!!! ;) But it is more yellow than Hellmans/Best Foods. Maybe due to the home laid egg :D
I have seen recipes for fancy mayonnaise but have not tried them

I am about to make Lemon crunch cake

Would you share the recipe that you used? There are so many recipes out there, I would like to start with one that someone actually likes, lol.
What kind of oil did you use?

I followed Faith's instructions on Pratt Family Homestead. She's a young teen.
I used regular veg oil, I'll try olive oil next time.
Ingredients:
1 egg
1 tablespoon white vinegar
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
1 cup oil
salt and pepper to taste. I skipped the pepper, didn't put in much salt.

Dump everything but the oil into the jar you are going to mix it in then slowly add the oil as you blend. If you don't add it slowly it won't emulsify. Keep adding oil until it gets as thick as you want it. Less oil, thinner mayo, more oil, thicker mayo. I added more than the 1 cup in the end.
