It might be missing lactobacillus. Add a tablespoon of organic apple cider like Briggs-- look for the mother in it. The mother is a round looking blob that floats in the apple cider.Dark and rainy here, perfect baking weather! Going to try some bread. Can't make too much, we're leaving on vacation Thursday.
@ronott1 , I was wondering if you knew how to revitalize my sourdough starter. It's a rye flour starter, 300g water:240g rye flour:50g starter. It's very bubbly and healthy, but it doesn't taste very sour at all when it's baked into bread. Do you have any idea how to fix it? TIA!
That will get the lactobacillus back into the starter.
