Any Home Bakers Here?

I was reading reviews of a sausage gravy recipe (they are all the same recipe, so reviews are entertaining). This woman said that a batch of sausage gravy (1pound of sausage and 2 1/2C of milk) makes two servings, not eight. Has anyone ever been able to eat four servings of biscuits and gravy? I’m honestly wondering, as well as worried about this gal’s health.

When I make sausage gravy I use the following:

SAUSAGE GRAVY

! lb. sausage
2 Tbsp. Butter
2 TBSP. Flour
Milk

I add the butter with the flour into the browned sausage and cook it till the flour is cooked.

At this point I start adding milk in small amounts till I have the amount of liquid I need.

I stir this mixture till the liquid starts to thicken If it starts to get to thick add some more milk.

Interesting. I've never had toasted banana bread!
Toast it and spread some butter on them!

It's been so dry and hot. I know a lot of people are going through the same thing. I've heard between $200-$400 a ton for hay, already. Scary business.

Hope you're doing well, too! And all of the other bakers!

I made a cake for my nieces baby shower a few weeks ago. It was my first time trying to pipe flowers and then transfer them to the cake. Much harder than I thought it was going to be

Hey everyone! Long time no see!

I've been camping in Texas with some great friends. Got back last night. Had so much fun, but I'm glad to shower in my own house again :D

While I was gone, my Mille Fleur pullets went from peeping to that ugly little teen cluck. They grow up so fast!

I'll be baking again soon. Coulda sworn my sourdough starter, Lois, gave me a dirty look from the back of the fridge this morning. Probably going to make a sheet cake for church tomorrow. Lois can get over herself :lau

How have y'all been spending your summers?

When you get down south, and start talking about things like Biscuits and Gravy, and serving sizes and such. You will find that that kind of silly talk, is generally a recommendation... generally made by some uppity needs to mind their own business yankee who don't know what they be talkin about. Next they be tellin you to use instant grits too...
