Yeah, me too. I had to wait until the tomatoes were out of the way. Canning takes up a lot of counter space, and I don't try to do anything else when I'm canning. Boiling water, glass jars...

Someday, I will be making bread by hand again. Still just machine baking now. Not to disparage my bread machine... it makes a fine loaf.

Thank you! I'll look for it at my favorite brick and mortar bookstore. I like to support them.

ABE booksellers online is great, they also are supplied by small bookstores all over the world, you can usually find a used version of whatever book you’re looking for at a very cheap price, they list by condition, so, if you are wanting it very cheap, you can find it..

I love ABE! I have gotten so many great things through them. I'd forgotten about them, so I'm glad you mentioned it. I would prefer to buy used, just about anytime.

I recall getting a copy of my dad's book on Infrared Spectroscopy. The seller emailed me a note saying he was sorry for the condition -- it had been a library book. No dust jacket, marker line on the pages across the top. I told him it was fine; I just mostly wanted it for the dedication to my mom, back when my parents were still married.
