I don't like cheesecake
 
Sally, how do you make your caramel sauce? I made a good one with sw condensed milk once but now I don't remember how. Put it in the oven, I think. Could google it again I guess.
1 (14 oz.) can Eagle Brand® Sweetened Condensed Milk

Remove label from Sweetened Condensed milk. Place can in saucepan
of boiling water, making sure can is completely covered. Simmer for 3
hours. The contents of the can will be converted to caramel.

I read something last year that said because of how the cans are now made that it is no longer safe to use this method. I could be wrong. This is the method my mother used to make the caramel for the "Turtles" she made.

I think that's it, thanks! Safe! Safe??? I'm going to eat an 8-oz can of milk and sugar, do I care about SAFE? 😳
