It makes the prime rib easier to cut.
I've never found it to be a problem

I hope this conversation isn't going to break out into a fight 🙄 :D @ronnolt1
Put 'em up, put 'em up. I double dog dare you!!!!!
;)

Aren't you the lucky one!

I would love to have a white Christmas.

I haven't seen one in 25 years.
You might need to move a LOT north.

We have about 7 inches of fluffy stuff here kinda like our heat last summer now we have 30 degrees and snow.
Wow, that much snow is really unusual for you isn't it?

Next time, I may make the loaf at least partly whole wheat to give the bread a little more “backbone.”
I make all my breads 50% whole wheat.

Made some Marmalade will send the small jar with the bread for my mum and dad. Its lumpy but its yummy!
Isn't marmalade usually lumpy??

I have a question for you all. My brother has kidney stones, and it’s very painful. Is there anything that I can make for him that will help with the stones?
Been there, done that, did NOT enjoy it! Second most painful experience of my life after Shingles.

Water, lots and lots of water. And use it as a prophylaxis so the kidneys don't have to work as hard and enough fluid washes through that the stones don't have a chance to get big.

Some say to cut back on calcium (since some stones are calcium based) but then I heard that if you don't take in enough calcium your body will pull it out of your bones so BAD idea!

I hope this/these stone(s) clear soon!!!

My youngest brother sent me a babka mix from King Arthur Flour. It did very well!

A good friend of mine has TERRIBLE kidney stones. He tries to avoid foods with oxalic acids. Nuts, dark greens, and I'm not sure what else.

Someone suggested lemon juice in water, and I think sour cherry juice is suggested for kidney stones too.

Good suggestions!
It depends on what the stones are. ie: calcium, uric acid or Struvite

Calcium is usually from a parathyroid tumor. Uric acid is more common and can be from gout.

Drinking lots of water is helpful.

Sourdough!

The only thing other than having them removed surgically is drinking beer.

Also, he needs to see a dietitian regarding the foods to stay away from.
