Any Home Bakers Here?

Well well well… I have a surprise cockerel in my flock! He’s a little 5mo old d’Uccle named Tuffet. He now has a breeding trio coop with my other 2 d’Uccle pullets, one of whom is laying and one who will soon… hope we’ll get babies this spring or summer!

This time I baked another cheesecake for just me and my sister. I used a different technique this time. Instead of making the usual jam, I lightly crushed the strawberries and collected the juices they released. Added sugar and gelatin and melt it in the stove. Then poured that watery structure on the cheesecake and top it off with the strawberries

Thanks to my sister for holding the flowers. It looks phenomenal, though I think the jam tastes better. I'll add more sugar to the topping if I made that again. Definitely a thing to learn!
