Any Home Bakers Here?

I've had lots of "pop up" things to do popping up, so I haven't gotten around to making myself some bread. Today has NOTHING on the calendar, so today it is! Bread for me!

It is a gloomy 41 degrees. SNOW all gone. Bread is
rising.

Kinda busy this week. Not only did I get a tad behind on posts I have not baked anything this week. Nothing since the sourdough loaf and half focaccia/half pizza.
15 new hand dyed fabric pieces are in mid-process so probably no baking until Sunday, which is when I need to feed my SD starters anyway.
Guess I need to plan something.
No dog here so...no human doggie treats.

If her stepmother gave her the recipe, her stepmother MAY have been alive during the depression, which MIGHT make this a Depression era recipe.

If your grandmother was born in '45 her step mother was undoubtedly around for the Depression unless her father remarried a much younger woman.

The youngest of my girls' grandparents was born in '33. All of mine were born in the 1890's.
