Thanks! My baker is only 2 qt, but I didn’t want to invest in a more expensive one until I’d used it a couple of times to see how I like it. The rye bread I baked in it last week was every bit as nice, and I’ve also cooked a pork tenderloin with veggies in it. So I’m sold and wouldn’t turn down a 4 quart if Ken decides to spurge for me!I am with you. I usually quickly cover with my two linen napkins and leave them on until the loaf is cooled. This does help keep the crust soft.
IT IS A BEAUTIFUL LOAF. My emil henry clay baker is a bit smaller and I love it too.
