schaum torte
I looked that up and found:
"Virtually unknown outside of Wisconsin, Schaum Torte is the German equivalent of Pavlova"

and

"Pavlova, named after Russian ballerina Anna Pavlova, is a meringue-based dessert (probably?) created in New Zealand in 1927. While these desserts look nearly identical, Pavlova contains corn starch and Schaum Torte does not."

I do spoil him rotten
I'm sure he deserves it and hopefully treats you the same way.

Hi Jared, is everyone in the family adapting well to having your grandparents living with you now?

I usually use a plastic bag for piping meringue cookies. For the schaum tortes I made last week, I just used a spoon to plop the meringue done and then swirled it with the back of the spoon. DH doesn't care what they look like, just that they are made when the strawberries are in season, lol. He was so sad eating the last one last night. I made yellow cake for strawberry shortcake - what I grew up eating - but he will probably start whining next week about having more schaum torte. I do spoil him rotten
Thanks for the tips!
