The most commonly grown one (Black Beauty) is one that needs soaked in salt water. The kind I grow is also a black eggplant (Nadia) but does not have the bitterness so I can get away without soaking it.

How long u soak it for?
If she picked it yesterday how long will it last?
Do I need to put in frige?

I would store it in the refrigerator if you are not ready to prepare it. I don't because when I am going to prepare eggplant, I go out and pick it and then prepare it.
