Any Home Bakers Here?

I have the plant...and I dried it and have it all Winter.
You dried it for tea? I think I need to do that. The tea was ok, but it would be nice to say I grew my own tea. :)

I'm drying basil in the dehydrator right now. I'll be doing oregano in a few days.

Sally I cut stems from the Lemon Balm plant....layed them on a paper towel
left them alone. They dried I put LEAVES only in a glass jar. Sealed did it last
year... it is still green and great to make tea with.

Use any herb you choose. I do mine do not use the oil until you want to use it. I keep a zar in the freezer of mthe dry parts.
Herb pesto

3 to 4 table spoon of Olive oil

1/2 cup pine nuts

1 cup dried herb

3 fresh cloves or 2 tsp jarred

1 cup Parmesan cheese

Ron how much salt 2 teaspoons?
It depends on how much liquid is in the recipe. My basic recipe has one tsp per cup of water for sandwich bread.

If a recipe has an amount of salt in it, you should use that amount though. Salt in home baked goods is a lot less than what you get in store bread.
