Well, I got an update on my brother.

The doctors aren’t sure what it is, but they are beginning to think it’s an auto immune disorder. They are observing for one more night.

All I know is that he has a high creatine score, and it’s not going down. Also a 2mm kidney stone.

He may see a nephrologist tomorrow.

There is a reason your brother has kidney stones, should he be a smoker the first thing to do is to stop smoking, kidneys filter toxins from the blood the last thing they need is added toxin ! Some people react to stuff in asparagus, red beets, spinach, any kind of legumes , giblets and rhubarb with kidney stones. Anything containing ocxalic acid can cause them if you are suceptile to that kind of kidney stone.

He should be discharged in about an hour! They have a hypothesis of what happened.

He had a urinary tract infection, and the urgent care prescribed him a medication. That medication may have raised his creatine levels, causing the issue.

If that is the case, we are not going back to that urgent care ever again.

Every medication has some side effects that affect some people sometimes. It's not the Urgent Care's fault or even that doctor's fault. Just know that he can never take THAT medication ever again. I mean, some people are allergic to strawberries or melons. It's not the fault of the restaurant that serves them.
