I made a peanut butter pie for bible study, this is one of my husband's favorites!

Pie Recipe I love this recipe, but I do have to add a little salt otherwise its too sweet for me.

Most recipes now a days have ether no salt or too little salt in it. If I do not see salt, I usually add a pinch of salt to the recipe. Frosting is a good example where a pinch of satl helps.

They never call for enough salt, and other recipes don't call for enough garlic! Haha!

Ron, I never heard of adding salt to frosting. Thanks. AND I LOVE GARLIC....
always add to my greens and beans. We learn a lot on this forum.

Salt is definitely a flavor enhancer. Put a pinch in anything and it makes it… more… whatever it is.

Sweeter, more savory, more umami.

Although you can go overboard

I've had Tervs for 20 years now. I do sheep herding with them. I have done agility and obedience in the past, and now to canine scent work. I love them!

My Mom taught me this years ago. Next time you make frosting, add a pinch of salt. Like was posted, it is a flavor enhancer.

I learned that too, a pinch of salt brings out the flavour in sweet stuff, sugar in savory food
