Any Home Bakers Here?

7 ears of corn from the garden today. Went with a salmon dinner tonight.

Including yesterday, I have 26 ears so far. Seven were eaten, and three did not turn out right, maybe because of pollination.

Time to make room in the freezer!

Actually, that poses a question for everybody who likes to preserve or freeze fresh vegetables here. How do you cut the corn off the cob? Do you usually do that before you freeze the corn?
 
Dang, I miss the days of summer with corn on the cob for dinner, just about every night.

I remember my mom cutting the kernels off when I lost my two front upper incisors. :)
In many ways....it has NOT BEEN a usual Summer here. Seems more like Fall.
And when temps are Summer....it is HOT HUMID. Not a good Summer here.
 
How do you cut the corn off the cob? Do you usually do that before you freeze the corn?
Stand the ear straight up and use a large knife to slice down the side of the ear. Be careful to not cut too deep.

Yes do it before you freeze the corn.
