Any Home Bakers Here?

Well, I don't have a problem starting them, just keeping them alive! :barnie My air seems full of natural yeast. It's just too cold. I'd hate for someone to send me some just for me to kill it! 🤣

For what it’s worth, I lost three of his starters to neglect and accidents. It takes a while to get used to taking care of them properly.

At least it does for me.

Weeeeeeejckdeeeeeeellllllll, looks like my sourdough starter got killed by the cold. Guess I'll have to start a new one. Again.
"There are many ways to keep a sourdough starter when you are unable to keep up with feeding and maintaining it for a longer period of time. One way is freezing the sourdough starter itself. Don't worry – it won't kill off the wild yeast if done correctly."

Well call me a bezoomny and gloopy wonderboy. Never thought of that. Wonder if it's good to feed it first?

Well, slap me and call me sassafras! You have quite a good vocabulary!

I better keep an eye on you closer than a peanut butter jar at a squirrel convention!

(That’s a little joke. The way you’re talking reminds me of a character from a video game. It made me smile.)
