I am embarrassed to make this confession, but I’m going to make it anyway. Y’all think what you think of me as it is, so I don’t think this is really going to change your mind about me.


Until today, I have never made a good batch of buttercream frosting. I am pretty sure I used margarine a time or two, and 100% sure I didn’t do it right. I did not cream the butter alone for several minutes first. I did not sift my powdered sugar. I did not mix the batches of sugar in for a minute or so between. I did not keep it on low.
Now I have the right frosting, and a new problem.

I want to eat it without cake.
