Any Home Bakers Here?

I am embarrassed to make this confession, but I’m going to make it anyway. Y’all think what you think of me as it is, so I don’t think this is really going to change your mind about me. 😂😂
Until today, I have never made a good batch of buttercream frosting. I am pretty sure I used margarine a time or two, and 100% sure I didn’t do it right. I did not cream the butter alone for several minutes first. I did not sift my powdered sugar. I did not mix the batches of sugar in for a minute or so between. I did not keep it on low.
Now I have the right frosting, and a new problem. I want to eat it without cake.
Your kitchen, your rules! Eat the frosting if you want to! Enjoy.

Things have been very busy over here, we are prepping for spring and getting ready for our new baby to be born in about 3 weeks!

I've been stocking the freezer with food so I can relax for a bit after the baby is born. I've also been crocheting some baby items.

We are also adding geese to our meat flock this year. So we are working on getting that space ready as well...😅
WOW...FANTASTIC LOOKING YEAST PRODUCT. HOPE YOU DID SHARE RECIPES. ARIA

I “decorated” the cake today. I played with four tips, and three colors. I am not brave enough to show the cake. I tried to eat some, but I was too full. I have no idea why. IMG_3459.gif

Excuse me, I feel a tad energetic, and must release it.

Good afternoon, everyone.

I’m gonna do a trial run of a recipe for corned beef and cabbage today. I’m practicing for St. Patrick’s Day next month.

The thing about this recipe is that it is baked in a Dutch oven over coals. It’s also not just corned beef and cabbage. There’s onions, celery and carrots in it also.

If successful, I will post pictures and a link to the recipe.

On another note, I have no idea what to bake for Valentine’s Day.

Jared
