Any idea if this is a duck or drake.

Any idea if these mystery hatches are ducks or drakes. They look like pekins and are around a month or 5 weeks and I’m leaning duck but not sure. Both sound the same and it’s different from their fresh hatched sound. I have a drake and he sounds like your typical drake, raspy and all.

Too early to tell by voice for me. Maybe someone more experienced can, but I usually wait until their feathering is coming in before I worry about it. By then, it's easy to tell.

Cute duck! Unmistakably Pekin, it's got those lovable round cheeks.

I think duck, I have a 5 week old Pekin and she sounds exactly like that. Where as our other one is very quiet and doesn’t really make much noise.
