Could they be some kind of rare maran? Or maybe a cross-breed? Do you now if they are both the same breed?

I was wondering why the female was a color I had never seen in any breed, and that's because they are cross breed. I love the Black Stars color. They are gorgeous.

Black stars are black sex links. The hen may be a black star, but the rooster would be barred, not black and red.

I dunno if it matters but bottom of rooster feet yellow. Someone asked earlier I just cant find them.

Black stars are black sex links. The hen may be a black star, but the rooster would be barred, not black and red.

X 2. Black sex link cockerels are always barred. As chicks the females are solid black and the males have a white head spot. I suppose it's possible they are Marans depending on which hatchery TSC got their chicks, though Marans usually have feathered legs.

A black sex link rooster will be barred like a barred rock. Foot color wouldn't make any difference.
