Any idea what this is?

This little one took 3 days to hatch and he/she now has this thing on it. What is it? Should I do anything?

It looks like the yolk did not absorb completly leave it and see what happens

Looks like the navel has not completely sealed after hatch. A dab of antiseptic cream or iodine on it to keep clean and it should be fine. Please do not pull anything in that area as it could cause a rupture in the abdomen. With time it should heal and dry up.

I don't have any pain free antiseptic but I do have Blu kote

Never mind, that is antiseptic. I feel smart...

I wouldn't use blu Kote on the navel area as it contains alcohol which can cause burning/stinging. If you don't have pain free cream I would keep it as clean as possible until you can get some. The antiseptic is just a precaution, a clean brooder and you should be fine.
