Any Of You Ever lived In A Haunted House?

Quote:
I often wondered about that too but I have seen people move objects with just the mind and it flips me out. A friend in college could do it with coffee cups...she was like a parlor trick at parties.

maybe...I was going to bed one night and I looked out the window into the backyard and saw a little girl sitting the big rock out there. It was full moom and very bright. She was just sitting there. The back yard is entirely fenced in, the only way back there is through the house. I told my self, "just your imagination, you're way over tired and pregnant, and your imagination is just going haywire, just crawl into bed and go to sleep" so I did. Next night same thing, but she wasn't sitting on the rock, she was closer to the house and her back was to the house. Yeah, I was pretty terrified, but I didn't wake up my husband, or tell him, he always tells me I scare to easy or whatever. Next night I actually saw her IN the house, just inside standing by the window I had looked out and saw her before. Qucick as a bunny I was in bed (I don't know why I kept assuming it was an over active imagination, but I did, I just couldn't believe it was real) Next night I didn't see her when I went to bed, but I woke in the middle of the night, and with out my glasses I looked in the hall and there she was So I did the "this isn't real, this isn't real this isn't real thing and layed there with my eyes closed till I went back to sleep. Next night nothing, so I woke up the next morning feeling pretty happy that my imagination took a night off. My husband says to me later that day "I had the wierdest dream last it was like I woke up , I had to have been sleeping though, and there was this little girl in a blue dress standing by the bed, she reached out and held my hand, like she was scared of something and needed to touch someone for comfort. I had to have been sleeping, but it was so real. I guess it was just one of those dreams that stick with you, but I havn't been able to shake it all day"
My jaw dropped to the floor, and I asked him what color hair she had, he said brown, I asked if it was the top half was tied back, yup how did you know? So I told him I'd seen her before, but she'd never been in our room before...
I had not told him at all about her, I thought he wouldn't believe, laugh it off whatever. But here he was saying he had seen her, he described the dress, she had the same hair, and same age 8-10. Very Strange

Someone died in the house we rented when I was in like 6th grade....

It was my grandfather.

If I thought he still "haunted" that house, I'd buy it, because he and I have a lot to talk about.. He was such a wise man, and I was just a kid when he died. He taught me a lot, but I know he had more to teach me..

What sucks is that was just kind of a temporary thing until my mom and stepdad could get their finances straight enough to buy a house, and he and my grandma was just staying one night there after he'd been in the hospital.. They were heading back the next day, having arranged for an ambulance to drive him home.

My grandmother said he was sitting in his favorite chair reading the paper when he popped his head up and said "I believe I hear the ambulance pulling up." My grandmother got up and came across the living room to look out the window...

She looked around just for a second and said "No, I don't see anything..." and when she turned to look at him, he was gone....in the blink of an eye.

I've often thought about asking the folks who live there now if they ever experience anything...odd. Because, if they do, I'd give just about anything if only to be able to sit in that living room alone for a few hours and see if I could catch a quick visit from my 'Pa.'

Brrr, this one gave me the heebie jeebies too!
I've had those dreams where it feels like you're up and awake but you are actually sleeping. They scare me, it hasn't happened in about 7 years though. Once during one of these dreams I saw a girl hovering by my bedroom window. She turned her head and grinned at me, and then I jolted awake with my heart pounding and it took me hours to fall back asleep. I used to dream that I was wandering around the house, or outside, and it was so real until something woke me up and there I'd be, in bed all along. I dream like this when I'm deeply disturbed or worried about something. It reaaaallly scares me.
